Entrepreneur at Heart
Creativity may be my greatest trait, and maybe my greatest curse. In the tech world, I dipped my toe in building a scalable web app with the now defunct Get Emery, an on demand cleaning booking service. It was a collaborative project a couple of friends and I developed. Before that, I created a micro-video sharing app focusing on language learning called Speak Local. But more recently, my wife and I opened a restaurant.
Oh, did I mention that I also write? Yes, I did study literature in college. My major forcus was creative writing. Well a few years ago I wrote a film screenplay which I thought was good enough to share with strangers. So I submitted it to film festivals and won Best Feature Screenplay in three separate programs. It has not been produced into an actual movie a this time. Doing so sort of frightens me to be honest.
